Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 October 2026
These terms govern your use of Debuto, the page builder at debuto.app. By creating an account you agree to them.
1. Who we are
Debuto is provided by {OPERATOR_NAME}, {OPERATOR_ADDRESS}, VAT number {OPERATOR_VAT_ID}, register entry {OPERATOR_REGISTER_ENTRY} ("Debuto", "we", "us").
You can reach us at hello@debuto.app. This address is also our single point of contact for users and for authorities under the EU Digital Services Act. You can write to us in English or Italian.
2. Your account
You must be at least 16 years old and give accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure.
If you use Debuto for your trade, business, craft or profession, you act as a business user and the rules for business users in these terms apply to you. Consumer rights described in these terms apply only to consumers.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you publish on Debuto. You give us a limited licence to host, process and display it so that your page works. You promise that you have the rights to what you upload and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights or break the law.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Debuto to publish illegal content, harass others, distribute malware, impersonate people or brands, sell goods or services that are illegal or unsafe, or attempt to disrupt the service.
5. Moderation and restrictions
We review content when it is reported to us or when we otherwise become aware of it. Decisions about content are taken by people. We use automated rate limits and spam checks only to protect the service, not to decide whether content is removed.
If content is illegal or breaks these terms, we may hide a page, an artwork or a block, remove it from Explore, restrict features, withhold payouts linked to it, or suspend or close the account. We act in a proportionate way and take into account the rights and legitimate interests of everyone involved.
When we restrict your content or account, we tell you, at the latest when the restriction takes effect, what is affected, what we decided and why (the facts and the rule or law we relied on), and how you can challenge it. Except where the law requires otherwise or there is a risk of serious harm, we give business users at least 30 days' notice before we close their account.
You can challenge a decision by replying to our message or writing to hello@debuto.app within six months. A person who did not take the original decision reviews it, free of charge, and we tell you the outcome. You can also go to court.
6. Reporting illegal content
Anyone can tell us about content on Debuto they believe is illegal, using the Report link on the page or artwork, or by writing to hello@debuto.app.
A report should include the exact web address of the content, a clear explanation of why you believe it is illegal, your name and email address (not needed for reports of child sexual abuse material), and a statement that you believe in good faith that the report is accurate and complete.
When you give us an email address, we confirm that we received your report and tell you what we decided and how you can challenge it. We handle reports diligently, objectively and without undue delay. If we learn of information suggesting a criminal offence that threatens someone's life or safety, we inform the competent authorities.
7. Plans and subscriptions
Debuto has a free plan and paid plans billed monthly or yearly through Stripe. Prices are shown in euro and include VAT where it applies. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; the plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
If we change the price of a paid plan, we tell you by email at least 30 days before the new price applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
If a plan ends or is downgraded, features outside the new plan stop applying to your published pages. Your drafts are never deleted, and upgrading again restores them.
8. Your right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you can withdraw from a paid plan within 14 days of subscribing, without giving any reason.
At checkout you ask us to start the service immediately. If you then withdraw, you pay only for the service provided up to the moment you tell us, in proportion to the full price, and we refund the rest within 14 days to the payment method you used. The right of withdrawal ends once the service has been fully provided.
To withdraw, send us a clear statement by email to hello@debuto.app from the address of your account. You may use this model form, but you do not have to: "To {OPERATOR_NAME}, hello@debuto.app: I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following service: [plan], ordered on [date], name of consumer, address of consumer, date." It is enough to send your message before the 14 days end.
Business users who buy a plan for their business have no right of withdrawal.
9. Availability
We work to keep Debuto available but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change or retire features, and will give reasonable notice of changes that materially affect paid plans.
10. Legal guarantee and liability
If you are a consumer, the legal guarantee of conformity for digital services applies to your plan, and nothing in these terms limits it.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to business users for any claim is limited to the amount they paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury, for fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of {OPERATOR_COUNTRY}. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of that country.
If you have a complaint, write to hello@debuto.app first and we will try to resolve it. You can also contact your national consumer authority or an alternative dispute resolution body.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. We tell you by email at least 30 days before a change that materially affects you takes effect. If you do not agree, you can close your account before then; changes required by law or to fight fraud or abuse may apply sooner. The date above shows the latest version.
Marketplace terms
These terms apply in addition to the Terms of Service when you buy or sell artwork licences, prints or originals through Debuto.
1. Who you are buying from
Artwork licences are sold by Debuto. Debuto is the merchant of record: you pay Debuto, and Debuto pays the artist their share.
Prints and originals are sold by the seller whose page you are on. Your contract of sale is with that seller. Debuto runs the marketplace and collects the payment on the seller's behalf; paying Debuto settles what you owe the seller.
Before you buy, the listing tells you whether the seller has declared that they sell as a trader. If the seller is a private individual and not a trader, the EU consumer protection rules do not apply to your contract with them. The seller is responsible for the item, its delivery, the right of withdrawal and the legal guarantee; Debuto is responsible for the platform and for handling the payment and any refund.
2. Artwork licences
A licence is granted to the buyer who paid for it. It covers all of that buyer's Debuto pages, has no end date, and cannot be transferred or resold. It does not transfer copyright, which stays with the artist.
A licence ends automatically if the payment is refunded or lost to a chargeback, or if the artwork is taken down by Debuto. When a licence ends, the artwork stops appearing on the buyer's pages.
3. Immediate supply of licences
A licence is digital content supplied immediately after payment. At checkout you expressly ask for immediate supply and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once supply begins. Licences therefore carry no change-of-mind refund; this does not affect your rights if the licence does not work as described.
4. Takedowns and refunds
If an artwork is taken down because it infringes rights or breaks our rules, buyers of its licence are refunded the price paid. Refunds are issued by Debuto to the original payment method.
5. Prices, fees and payouts
The price you pay is the price shown at checkout and includes VAT where it applies. The price of a print or original includes delivery to the countries the seller ships to; nothing is added for shipping at checkout.
Debuto keeps a fee from each sale: 20% of the price of a licence, and 6% of the price of a print or original sold by a seller on the Free plan. Sellers on a paid plan pay no sale fee. Artists and sellers receive their payouts through Stripe Connect and must complete Stripe's identity checks first.
6. Prints and originals
Sellers are responsible for describing their items accurately, giving the product safety information the law requires (including who made the item and any warnings), shipping them, and meeting the consumer-law duties that apply to them. Debuto does not ship or hold stock.
If the seller is a trader, you can withdraw within 14 days of receiving the item without giving a reason, unless the item was made to your specifications or clearly personalised. You also have the legal guarantee of conformity for at least two years. To withdraw or report a problem, contact the seller or write to hello@debuto.app with your order details; we pass your message on and issue any refund that is due.
7. How listings are ordered
On Explore, the Featured order shows Spotlight placements first, then pages picked by the Debuto team, then the most recently published. You can also sort by newest or by most followed. Search matches your words against the text of each listing.
8. Paid placement
Spotlight is paid placement. Artists and creators pay to be shown higher on Explore and, for verified artists with a live artwork, on the home page and the Artists page. Every such placement is labelled as sponsored. Paying for Spotlight does not change how content is reviewed or whether it may be taken down.
9. Sellers and business users
If you sell on Debuto or use it for your business, you must say whether you sell as a trader, give accurate contact details and comply with the consumer, product safety and tax rules that apply to you.
You can see the orders, requests and page statistics that concern your page in your dashboard. Debuto keeps payment, moderation and account records to run the marketplace and to meet its legal duties; it does not share your buyers' data with other sellers.
Where EU tax law (the DAC7 rules) requires it, we collect your name, address, date of birth, tax identification number, VAT number and payout account, and report your sales and payouts to the tax authority, which may share them with the authorities of the country where you live. We tell you before we report and give you a copy of what we report.
If you have a complaint as a business user, write to hello@debuto.app. We consider it and reply within a reasonable time.
Business pages: bookings and orders
These terms apply in addition to the Terms of Service when a page owner uses booking or order-request features.
1. Debuto is not a party
Bookings and orders are arrangements between the visitor and the page owner. Debuto only passes the request on and does not take part in, guarantee or handle payment for it.
2. Requests are not confirmations
A request is not a confirmed reservation or order. It is confirmed only when the owner confirms it to the visitor.
3. Prices shown
Any price or total shown on a page is the owner's estimate. The owner decides the final price, and the owner is responsible for the accuracy of what the page says.
